An essential consent record, plus optional website-usage data only when you allow it.
To operate and secure the website, remember choices, and understand performance with permission.
Accept all, keep essentials only, or adjust optional cookie categories at any time through Cookie Preferences.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Related technologies—such as local storage, pixels, tags, and scripts—can perform similar functions. We use the word cookies in this policy to refer to these website technologies together.
2. Categories we use
| Category | Purpose | Choice |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Security, network delivery, consent records, and core site operation. | Required for the site to function; browser controls may still block them. |
| Preferences | Remember settings and interface choices. | Optional where not essential. |
| Analytics | Measure traffic, page use, errors, and aggregated trends. | Optional where consent is required. |
| Experience analytics | Understand interaction patterns such as clicks, scrolling, and navigation friction. | Optional where consent is required. |
| Marketing communications | Record an opt-in and support future email communications. | Used only after a valid opt-in; every marketing email will offer unsubscribe. |
When you choose to request a functional persona, we temporarily keep the role you selected in this tab’s session storage to carry it into the contact form. It is removed when the form reads it, accepted for up to 30 minutes, and cleared when the tab’s session ends. This draft is not sent to us until you submit the form.
3. Optional service providers
Cloudflare Turnstile is used as a strictly necessary security service on our contact form to help distinguish legitimate visitors from automated submissions. Vercel hosts the form-processing endpoint, and Resend delivers submitted inquiries to authorized team inboxes. These services are used for security and requested communications rather than optional analytics or advertising.
Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, and Ahrefs Web Analytics are our optional analytics providers. Google Analytics helps us understand aggregate traffic, referral sources, pages viewed, device categories, and website performance. Microsoft Clarity helps us understand navigation, clicks, scrolling, and areas of interaction friction. Ahrefs helps us understand aggregate page views, referrals, device categories, and common site interactions without using cookies by default. These scripts remain blocked until Analytics consent is recorded through this site. If consent is withdrawn, the page reloads to stop Ahrefs collection, sends denied consent signals to the other providers, and clears accessible analytics cookies.
Google Analytics may set first-party cookies beginning with _ga. We configure advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization as denied. Google processes analytics data under its own privacy and security terms.
Clarity may set first-party cookies including _clck and _clsk, and Microsoft may use related third-party identifiers when permitted. We configure advertising storage as denied. Microsoft processes Clarity data under its own privacy and security terms.
Ahrefs Web Analytics processes page URLs, referrers, browser and device information, language, and approximate location from the IP address. Ahrefs states that its default tracker does not use cookies or store raw IP addresses; it uses a daily rotating hash to count unique visitors. It also records outbound-link clicks and form submissions. Ahrefs processes this data under its own privacy and security terms.
Optional providers may process identifiers, device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, referral information, interaction events, or session-level usage data. They remain subject to the consent category and purpose limitations described here.
4. Your choices
You can accept all optional cookies, keep essential cookies only, or manage categories through the site’s cookie settings. You can also remove or block cookies in your browser. Blocking necessary storage may affect site operation.
Withdrawing consent does not invalidate processing that occurred before withdrawal. It prevents future optional collection from this browser after the preference is applied.
5. Duration
Some technologies last only for a browsing session; others remain for a defined period so preferences or measurement can continue. Provider durations may change. We configure retention to be proportionate to the stated purpose and periodically review active tools.
6. Questions
Questions about our website technologies or consent choices may be sent to mayank@nikoletaandassociates.com. For broader information-handling practices, read our Privacy Policy.
