1. Scope and accountability

This policy explains how Nikoleta & Associates Inc. (“NKA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information through our website, inquiries, client relationships, events, and related business activities.

Mayank is our primary privacy contact and is accountable for our privacy practices. Questions or requests may be sent to mayank@nikoletaandassociates.com or to 150 King Street West, Suite 200, Toronto, Ontario M5H 1J9, Canada.

  • Communication preferences, including future newsletter or marketing opt-in choices.

Information collected automatically

Our website and service providers may receive IP address, browser and device characteristics, approximate location derived from IP address, referring page, pages viewed, interaction events, and technical or security information. When you submit our contact form, our security provider may also process limited browser and network signals needed to distinguish people from automated abuse. We do not intentionally collect precise GPS location through this website.

4. Analytics, cookies, and similar technologies

We use cookies and related technologies for essential operation, security, and preferences. Google Analytics 4 provides optional aggregate traffic and website-performance measurement. Microsoft Clarity provides optional experience analytics, including page use, clicks, scrolling, navigation patterns, device and browser information, and session-level interaction data. Ahrefs Web Analytics provides optional aggregate traffic and interaction measurement without cookies by default. All three providers remain blocked until Analytics consent is recorded. The current categories, providers, and controls are described in our Cookie Policy and cookie settings.

Optional analytics are not necessary to submit an inquiry or browse core website content.

5. When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may provide limited information to service providers that support hosting, security, analytics, communications, client work, or professional administration. Contact-form information is stored through our managed hosting and database providers and routed through our transactional email provider to the authorized team members responsible for responding. Article-download requests are also stored through our managed hosting and database providers so we can provide the requested file and understand interest in the article; a download request does not subscribe a visitor to marketing. We expect providers to use information only for authorized purposes and protect it appropriately.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a proposed business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. Processing outside Canada

Some service providers may process information in the United States or other jurisdictions. Information may therefore be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. We use contractual, organizational, and technical measures appropriate to the service and information involved.

7. Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, our relationship with you, legal or professional requirements, dispute resolution, and secure backup cycles. We then delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it. Retention periods vary by record type and service.

8. Safeguards

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards proportionate to the sensitivity and volume of information. These may include access controls, managed hosting and security services, updates, backups, staff practices, and service-provider review. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access to personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent, object to or restrict certain uses, or ask for deletion where applicable. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where law permits or requires.

Marketing messages will identify the sender and include an unsubscribe method. We will process unsubscribe requests within the period required by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation.

10. Children

Our services are designed for organizations and professionals, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this website.

11. Visitors outside Canada

Residents of other jurisdictions may have additional rights. We will respond to valid requests in accordance with the law that applies to the relevant activity and individual.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices, providers, or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
